Berry - 2 - Auquet 29, 1996 <br />These documents will likely be required prior to DMG permit <br />1B9llanCe. <br />BRL - The Air Quality Control Division (AQCD) has BRL's <br />emission permit application. The AQCD has informed BRL they <br />will get to it some time. BRL has hired an attorney to <br />expedite the AQCD's approval process. <br />An NPDES permit is enclosed. <br />BRL does not have a permit to store and use explosives. One <br />will be obtained if necessary. <br />No local land use authority permits are required. Delta <br />County does not have any land use regulations as explained <br />in section 2.04.3 page 2.04-8. <br />Well perviits which BRL obtained to drill the three alluvial <br />wells and one bedrock well are enclosed. BRL does not have <br />any other well permits. Additional well permits for the <br />additional alluvial wells and existing monitoring wells will <br />be applied for. <br />BRL does not have a 404 permit. One will be required for <br />the construction of the sediment ponds and for disturbing <br />wetlands if any. The 404 permit issue should be complete <br />within two weeks. <br />8. No response required. <br />8a. DMG - Please provide a detailed response which addresses the <br />issues pr~eaerited in the ,7uly 1.8, 1996 letter from the <br />Colorado FIistorical 5ociet.y. Please provide specific <br />information as to the possi.b.ili.ty that each of the <br />referenced sites may be disturbed by the Bowie No. 2 Mine, <br />and the actions taken by BRL to ensure compliance with the <br />Colorado FIistorical Society recommendations. <br />BRL - The Colorado Historical Society recommended the home <br />garage at SDT122, which is to be demolished, be recorded to <br />HABS/HAER Level II standards. They also recommended the <br />other buildings at 5DT122 and those at SDT1053 be recorded <br />to the same standards even though they would not be directly <br />impacted. During the week of August 30, 1996, the requested <br />records are to be transmitted to the Colorado Historical <br />Society by BRL's consultant Grand River Institute. This <br />submittal should satisfy the Colorado Historical Society's <br />concerns. <br />No response required. <br />
