<br />of the coal within the seam is expected to be 10,600-10,800 <br />Btu's/1b., 0,4-0.6 percent sulfur, 5-9 percent ash, and 9-14 <br />percent moisture. <br />Mining would be expected to begin on the parcel in December <br />of 1980. The operation would use the truck-shovel method of <br />overburden removal and xould be supported by one Marion 191 <br />~.a, ~ <br />15-Yard bucket capacity shovel and six Euclid 50 ton <br />capacity haul trucks. <br />Coal lease application C-22676 consists of two parcels, a <br />western parcel and an eastern parcel. The eastern most <br />parcel is 80 acres in size and the western parcel includes <br />643.81 acres. Both parcels would be mined by the truck- <br />shovel method using the same equipment and reclamation <br />procedures. The east parcel would be mined following <br />completion of mining on the western parcel. <br />The mine would begin at the southern boundary of the lease <br />application (western parcel) and proceed in a northwesterly <br />direction following the outcrop of the Wadge coal seam. The <br />operation weld begin with topsoil removal by scrapers (2 <br />Caterpillar 657 44-yard capacity scrapers).
