<br />Should Energy Fuels be the successful bidder and be awarded
<br />the lease, the planned mining operation would involve the
<br />expansion of Pit U1 in a southwesterly direction to mine the
<br />Wadge coal seam across application C-22644. The thickness
<br />of the iladge seam averages about 10.0 feet across the
<br />parcel, The coal is high volatile C bituminous and has an
<br />average heating value of 10,900 Btus per pound. Sulfur
<br />content averages 0.55 percent, ash 8.6 percent, and moisture
<br />11,50 percent, The total recoverable reserve base within
<br />the 2120,36 acre tract is estimated to be 5,011,090 tons.
<br />Mining of the tract is expected to begin in June of 1979 and
<br />would employ three primary overburden removal machines. A
<br />boxcut would be opened in the northeast quadrant of the
<br />lease application area with a Marion 204 28 yard bucket
<br />capacity shovel. The boxcut would proceed in a southwest-
<br />erly direction along the strike of the coal seam, A
