Neither the Colorado DOW <br />nor the BLM have located any strutting grounds on the <br />sites during their surveys of the area. Population <br />parameters and habitat use values are unavailable at <br />this time. <br />Sharp-tailed Grouse <br />This grouse species is fairly common on applications <br />C-26644 and C-26913. Habitat for the sharp-tail con- <br />sists mainly of grass interspersed with shrubs, trees, <br />and wheat. A dancing ground has been located 2 miles <br />north of the tract by the Colorado DOW, but none are <br />known to exist on the site itself. No further infor- <br />motion ie available. Sharp-tail grouse range extends <br />into the southern part of C-22676 but no population <br />estimates for this area are known. No dancing grounds <br />are located in the vicinity. <br />Blue Grouse <br />Blue Grouse can be found in the open stands of conifers <br />and aspens on applications C-26644 and C-26913. Brush <br />stands with nearby conifers and aspens are also utilized. <br />More specific information is not available. <br />99 <br />
