Dep[. u[ ~va,~ral Resources <br />Dear Dan: <br />Pursuant to our telephone conversations with you after your review <br />meetings with Office of Surface Mining, review of the March 1, 1984 OSM <br />recommendations letter, and the meeting at your office on March 9, 1984, <br />an additional volume of information has been assembled to answer remaining <br />questions related to the Grand Mesa Coal Company permit application. <br />This volume contains information that we agreed to submit per our <br />February 16, 1984 letter to your office. Additionally, some information <br />is provided in lieu of certain proposed stipulations that would have <br />been contained in your permit document. Other information is provided <br />as a response to comments made by OSM. <br />First, using our February 16th letter as a guide, we submit the <br />following information: <br />Item I. No information required. <br />Item II. No information required. <br />Item III. A "Meet and Bounds Description" of the entire Grand Mesa <br />Coal Delta site is provided as an amendment to right of entry information. <br />Pages 23 and 24 include revisions for this purpose. Also, a concise <br />description of the Loadout permit boundary is included on page 87. <br />Item IV. An updated legal description of the mine permit area is <br />included in right of entry information. Revisions have been made on <br />pages 22-27 for this purpose. Also, a concise description of the mine <br />permit boundary is included on page 87. <br />Item V. The mine permit area has been designated on Map 2.05.3(1)-1, <br />Red Canyon #1 Mine ("E" Seam). The Delta Loadout Facility Map 2.05.3(7)-1, <br />has been amended to depict the Loadout Permit Area. A statement has <br />been prepared for marking all other maps containing boundaries which could <br />be confused with the designated permit area boundaries. That statement <br />reads, "Boundaries shown are not inclusive; refer to Maps 2.05.3(1)-1 <br />and 2.05.3(7)-1 for proper permit area designation." That statement, in <br /> <br />
