Mr. David Shelton
Colorado Department of
Mined Land Reclamation
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203
February 5, 1981
Page 3
Natural Resources
Division

13. Surface water information was expanded through addi-
tional field work and assessment and is provided in
Section 4.5 along with related Figures, Tables and
Appendices.
14. Alternative water supplies were not specifically
addressed as the text clearly shows that an adverse
impact to such resource and use will not occur. The
text does outline the water rights related to the
operation as well as intended consumptive use. The
remainder can be assumed to be a supply to satisfy
questions as to an alternative source even though the
need to address such is moot.
15. Climatological information beyond that previously sub-
mitted was not provided in lieu of the identification
of the Emissions Permits issued by State of Colorado
Department of Health pursuant to State and Federal
requirements. This is found in Appendix E.
16. Vegetation studies were expanded and conducted which
accounts for the delay in resubmitting this application.
Reclamation and vegetative baseline information now com-
plies totally with State and Federal regulations. See
Sections 3.0 and 4.8.
17. Fish and wildlife information was enhanced by the inclusion
of U.S. Fish and Wildlife information directly related
to the SEI property. This information was provided for
the West Central Colorado Coal EIS.
18. Soils information was expanded and new data provided that
was in direct response to yuestions raised in the refer-
enced letter. See Sections 3.0 and 4.7.
19. Requested information was provided in Section 9.8-Vegetation.
