PETER O'CONNOR <br />June 10, 1986 <br />Page 10 <br />If there are any other requirements that BLUE FLAME COAL MINE needs to meet <br />regan3ing revegetation success criteria, please contact me immediately at my <br />office, phone number (303) 385-4860. BLUE FLAME COAL MINE submits that to the <br />best of our knowledge, there are no drill holes on the site. BLUE FLAME COAL MINE <br />is advised that any future drilling must be approved by the Division prior to under- <br />taking these activities. <br />2.05.5 POST MINING LAND USE <br />(1) Once BLUE FLAME COAL MINE has successfully obtained our Air (]mission <br />Permit, we will submit a copy fro the Divisions files. <br />(2) BLUE FLAME COAL MINE submits a revised copy of the Reclamiation Map, <br />pursuant to Rule 2.05.5(2)(c). This map had been prepared to the standards of <br />2.10 and has been certified by the proper engineers. <br />4.02. SIGN AND MARKERS <br />(1) The type of perireter markers that will be emq~loyed follows: French <br />Post poles to be driven into the ground at intervals of 100 feet. These fence <br />posts will then be spray painted Blaze Orange to identify the perimeter of the <br />affected area. <br />(2) BLUE FLAME COAL MINE ccmnits to marking access roads with mine identi- <br />fication signs placed in conspicuous places immediately inside the property <br />boundaries. <br />4.03 ROADS <br />(1) Regarding retention of access roads: BLUE FLAME COAL MINE commits to re- <br />claiming all roads within the 90 acre permit area. These roads include our road up <br />to the point where it intersects the haul mad of KING COAL MINE. The other access <br />road within the Northwestern portion of the 40 acre permit area will also be re- <br />claimed up to the point where it intersects the access road of the Ute Mountain Ute <br />Tribe. The Ute access road lies outside of the 40 acre permit area and is the pro- <br />perty of the Tribe. It is used as an access road by the Ute Tribe to their pro- <br />perty and has been in existence prior to any mining operation. BLUE FLAME COAL <br />MINE only has a right of use over this portion of the road. <br />4.03.1(3) ROAD DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION <br />Access roads are designed and constructed in compliance with the given rules <br />of 4.03 in order to control erosion and disturbances of the hydrologic balance. <br />Excessive road cuts and embankments have been avoided. The overall grade of the <br />access roads do not exceed 10$. The pitch grade on the Eastern access road is <br />12.1$ and is consecutive for 260 feet until it reaches the mine bench. The pitch <br />grade on the Western access road is 13.10 and is continuous for appmxima*_ely 500 <br />
