No further work is
necessary on these sites. However, the potential exists for a
National Register district dealing with prehistoric exploitation
patterns. As further survey and testing is completed our
understanding of these sites and the area may change how we look at
the eligibility of the resources.
We concur with the research design. However, the auger testing as
an alternative means of site discovery (pp. 112-114) should be
confined to those areas where construction and mining activities
have the potential to affect deeply buried sites.
bA6987~ ~3:ACr9.88' ~/5LA6993 5~,A6995 .~LA6998 ~LA6999
~/5LA7000 /5LA7003 ~LA71)D7 SLA7012 ~LA7181>,.~LA7182
i/5LA7186 ~ 5LA7194 ~5LA7196 ~./5LA'7~99 ./5-LP,9202 `v~LA7208~
-~ , r
.Ins-, ,~,, ;~ t -I^lo
ry T
t,
};
I~,~_I, .~; a I I ,~,
~~~ ~~
;.I~~.I
r'l.%~
P~~, l ~~
