Upon completion of each o~ these lifts
the face of the slope (2.5:1) will be covered with 12" of
topsoil. The soil will receive amendments as appropriate and will
be seeded with mixture No. 3. Upon completion of the seeding,
excelsior erosion blankets will be laid. When the ground cover
has established native vegetation will be planted on the slopes.
Benches between lifts will be topsoiled and seeded in the same
manner. Here a hydro-mulch will be used to hold the seed and
moisture until establishment of the ground cover. Native
plants will then be added. The entire area of the Mine 6poi1
Dump will be a wildlife habitat area.
4. Coal Storage and Parking Area, Plate 1, will be covered
with approximately 12" of sub-soil and 6" of topsoil. The final
configuration of the landscape on the benches will be relatively
flat. Soil amendments will be added and the areas will be seeded
with mixture No. 2. Hydro-mulching with wood cellulose fibers will
then be accomplished. Some native vegetation will be added upon
establishment of the grass. This area will be used for grazing and
incidental wildlife habitat.
*It should be noted that the Mine Waste Dump areas depicted
on Plate i show projected areas for future mining as well as that
area which will be disturbed during the three year period of the
mine plan. ~ ~
d
II i
Ipl,p I
~Ull~lhi~~l~' 11 ~~i~~~if y.
