'a c»
•
When final reclamation and abandonment begins, C~dI will
ensure long term slope stability. It may be
necessary to grade back the first 20-25 feet below the crest 'of
the fill areas. At such time as final. reclamation and abandanment
begins, CWI will investigate each of the slopes and determine cohat
action will be necessary in each specific instance to assure long
term stability.
The Final Keclamation and Abandonment Plan will meet the goals
of mined land reclamation relative to the post-mining land uses as
indicated including: (1) grazing areas for domestic animals;'(2) wild-
life habitat; (3) conunercial fruit orchards.
Reclamation will be accomplished throughout the life of the project.
Upon completion of mining operation and activities, all equipment,
buildings, electric power lines, water tanks, sewage treatment
facilities, loading equipment, etc. will be removed from the
landscape. After removal, all areas of disturbance will be cleaned
of debris and revegetated. General aspects of the technical
methodology for accomplishing reclamation/revegetation have been
discussed in the Mine Plan. In addition, refer to Table VIII-1 (Attach.)-
Landscape Categories for Soil Stabilization and Revegetation, for
specific discussions relative to the accomplishment of reclamation
in various types of areas.
The following outline discussion indicates the approach to
reclamation in various areas. These descriptions will augment
Plates 1, 2, and 3. (Attached) Note that these plates
show final post mining contours of the entire permit area. All
buildings have been removed and topsoil storage areas have been
