OF NATURAL RESOURCES
RE: P.A.R. Conference, Chimney Rock Coal
File ~ C-023-81
Dear Mike:
On June 12, 1981, we met in the offices of the Mined Land
Reclamation Division. Mr. David Smaldone and I were present
on behalf of Chimney Rock. You were in attendance on behalf
of the Division. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss
and resolve any outstanding issues relative to Chimney Rock
Coals' permit application. The text presented below reflects
the items of discussion and the nature of any additional
information required to be submitted.
RULE 2.03 A lipp cation for Permit for Surface Coal
Minin an Reclamation 0 erations: Minimum
Requirements or Leea Financ>_a Comn lance
an
ormat3on
ion 2.03.8 Permit Term Information
The various periods described throughout
the permit application are roughly equated
to a logical sequence of mining and recla-
mation activities. Projection of specific
commencement and termination dates by
month and year would not be realistic.
This is due to contractual demands
and fluctuations in the market as described
on page 3 of the Introduction portion of
the permit. Liven these circumstances, the
method by which each mining phase is identified
was deemed acceptable.
