+ 2 <br />Page 2 <br />Peter Evans <br />April 15, 1981 <br />2. The application also contains a proposed subsidence monitoring <br />program. In accordance with Rule 2.05.6(6)(c)(i)(C), the applicant <br />is responsible for monitoring "The orientation, location and elevatior. <br />of each structure within the permit and adjacent area..." The <br />applicant should amend the application to include the required <br />monitoring for the "old ranch house" referred to on page 189 of the <br />application. <br />3. The monitoring program contained within the applicant's proposal <br />proposes to monitor the installed monuments on an annual basis. Rule <br />2.05.6(6)(c)(i)(E) and (F) requires the monitoring of monuments and <br />structures to be performed at Least quarterly and the results of <br />that monitoring to be submitted to the Division at Least semi-annually. <br />The applicant should amend the application to reflect that frequency <br />of observation and reporting. <br />With the completion of the amendments mentioned above, the subsidence <br />section of the Apex N2 underground coal mine application should satisfy <br />the requirements of the Colorado permanent program. <br />/k <br />CC: E.
