Map <br />Stipulation No. 13 <br />THE APPLICANT MUST PROVIDE PROOF THAT LIVE HANDLING OF <br />TOPSOIL WILL MEET THE REVEGETATION CRITERIA FOR WOODY PLANT <br />DENSITY OR REVISE THE SEED MIX TO INCLUDE SHRUB SEEDS AT AN <br />ADEQUATE RATE OR PROVIDE FOR SEEDLING PLANTING. THIS <br />INFORMATION MUST BE PROVIDED TO THE DIVISION WITHIN 6 MONTHS <br />OF PERMIT ISSUANCE. <br />Reply <br />Shrub seeds have been added to the revegetation seed mix. <br />The new seed mix and seeding rates are presented in the response <br />to Stipulation No. 11. Winterfat, rubber rabbitbrush, and <br />fourwing saltbush have been added to the seed mix. Also, 1000 <br />stems per acre will be planted as seedlings in the second or <br />third season following seeding. This seedling rate will consist <br />of 500 pin on, 250 antelope bitterbrush, and 250 true mountain <br />mahogany. Seedling planting will be done only in the areas whose <br />pre-mining vegetation community was of the pinon-juniper type in <br />order to ensure and speed up a shrub-dominant community in these <br />areas. <br /> <br />
