Map n/a <br />Stipulation No. 12 <br />THE APPLICANT MUST PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE PROPOSED <br />METHODOLOGY WILL REVEGETATE THE AREA TO MEET THE SUCCESS <br />CRITERIA OR REVISE THE SEEDING AND MULCHING METHOCOLOGY IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH RULES 2.05.4(2)(C) and 4.15, AND WITH THE <br />DIVISION'S RECOMMENDATIONS. THIS INiORMATION MUST BE <br />PROVIDED TO THE DIVISION WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF PERMIT ISSUANCE. <br />Reply <br />Two seeding methods will be employed, drilling and <br />broadcasting. Drill seeding will be employed wherever it is not <br />prohibited by steep slopes. Drillrows will not be more than 14 <br />inches apart to prevent undue competition from weeds. Areas <br />where broadcast seeding is necessary will be seeded at twice the <br />pounds PLS/acre rate of drilled areas. <br />Immediately following seeding, 4000 pounds of air dry straw <br />per acre will be uniformly applied. The straw will be crimped <br />into the soil with a mulch tiller, modified sheeps-foot roller or <br />other appropriate tool depending on the terrain and seeding <br />method or drill used. Crimping of the mulch should securely <br />anchor it to the soil and provide a soil covering for broadcast <br />seed. The straw mulch shall be free of noxious weeds and at <br />least 50 percent of the mulch, by weight, shall be 10 inches or <br />more in length. <br /> <br />
