Lamm <br />Governor <br />January 12, 1983 <br />T0: Ed Bischoff <br />FROM: Jerry Zimpfer <br />RE: Twin Pines No. 2 Mine Completeness Review <br />Alluvial Valley Floor- <br />The information submitted is insufficient to make an AVF determination. <br />To be complete the applicant should submit the following: <br />1) A map of unconsolidated stream laid deposits in or adjacent to the <br />permit area - Siiow for Uak Creek down to and iricludin9 irrigated hayfield <br />Lewis Gulch, South Oak Creek, and unnamed tributary to <br />South Uak Creek. <br />Show on map- proposed permit boundary. <br />Areas disturbed by past surface mining. <br />2) Show on Map -areas of historic or existing flood irrigation <br />areas where vegetation suggests subirrigation. <br />3) If areas of unconsolidated stream laid deposits are identified in <br />drainages where there is no existing or historic flood irrigation, it is <br />necessary to assess their capability for flood irrigation. The applicant <br />should describe regional flood irrigation practices for watersheds of a <br />similar size or smaller. <br />Additional information may be required for adequacy, depends upon AVF <br />determination. <br />SURFACE WATER - <br />DISCUSSION OF PROBABLE HYDROLOGIC CONSEQUENCES - Brief discussion p. <br />94-96. Not supported by baseline data or analysis.
