816.172 Roads: C1a • LII: Design and Constru~on <br />a) ~Tertical alignment. The Applicant will construct <br />all Class III roads with an overall grade of less <br />1v:10h, no pitch in excess of lv:Sh, and no more than <br />1000 feet of maximum pitch grade. The Applicant routinely constructs <br />Class III roads to avoid natural obstacles. <br />(v3, pp. 816-222-223) <br />' The Applicant will comply. <br />c) Road cuts. Class III roads in areas other than the pit <br />will not have topsoil removed. (v3, pp. 816-222-223) <br />The Applicant will comply. <br />816.173 Roads: Class III: Drainage <br />a) General. To the extent Class III Roads will cross <br />intermittent or ephemeral channels, temporary culverts <br />will be installed as necessary to protect the facility <br />and minimize disturbance of the hydrologic balance. <br />(v3, p. 816-223) <br />The Applicant will comply. <br />b) Culverts and bridges. Temporary culverts for Class III <br />Roads will be sized for the 1-year, 6-hour precipitation <br />event. Designs will be submitted to the regulatory <br />authority before culvert installation. No bridge will <br />be needed. (v3, p. 816-224(a)) <br />The Applicant will comply. <br />c) Natural drainage. Fish Creek is the only permanent <br />stream in the permit area and there are no existing <br />or proposed Class III Roads that will cross it.
