Our
response to each request is as follows:
1. Identification of lands unsuitable for surface mining and
• reclamation pursuant to Section 522 of SMCRA.
No lands have been. identified as unsuitable within the subject
coal leases.
2. Postmining land uses for any conflicts with land management
plans and policies.
The proposed postmining land use does not conflict with our land
management plans and policies for this specific area.
3. The proposed resource recovery and protection plan and any
conflicts with future recovery of coal resources.
Revision of the southeast pit end in area 60 due to the prairie
falcon buffer zone results in a reduction of recoverable coal
resource. Justification provided is adequate and this loss is
deemed unavoidable.
Save Energy and You Serve America!
