Lamm <br />Governor <br />December 13, 1983 <br />Fremont County Board of Commissioners <br />Canon City, Colorado 81212 <br />Dear Sirs: <br />' ~ : ~a <br />.i' ~'~ <br />L . . <br />Pursuant to Section 34-33-114 of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation <br />Act, this letter is to inform you of the Mined Land Reclamation Division's <br />proposed decision to approve a permit for a surface coal mining operation. <br />The proposed operation is the Twin Pines No. 2 Mine, located 2 1/2 miles <br />southwest of the town of Rockvale. The affected lands are in portions of <br />Sections 1 and 2, T20S, R10vJ. <br />Enclosed is a copy of the proposed decision. A public notice announcing this <br />proposed decision is being published in the Canon City Daily Record. A <br />complete copy of the Division's technical analysis and findings of compliance <br />for the Twin Pines No. 2 Mine is on file at the Mined Land Reclamation <br />Division office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 423, Denver, Colorado 80203.
