<br />' Pages 11 and 12 <br />21a. Figure 2.2-3 has been revised to show all suface water <br />control measures planned for the operation. <br />21b. The text has been expanded to detail the timing and <br />sequence of the underground operation. This has been <br />broken down into subareas and is shown on Figure 2.1-3. <br />21c. Secondary mining is addressed in Section 2.1.5 and subsi- <br />dence considerations addressed in Section 2.1.9. <br />21d. Resource recovery is addressed in Sections 2.1.2, 2.1.3, <br />2.1.5 and 2.1.8 and should serve to satisfy all reason- <br />able questions in the regard. <br />21e. Mining methods are described in Section 2.1.5. Bone coal <br />and carbonaceous shale lenses are not addressed. The <br />underground operation is presently being conducted in a <br />22 foot coal seam, and a raw, or run-of-mine product is <br />being realized. <br />The exact method of sealing mine openings is described in <br />Section 3.7 and illustrated in Figures 3.7-1 and 3.7-2. <br />Figure 2.2-2 has been changed to show the location of <br />the totally enclosed portable crusher. <br />21f. The rail loadout is located in the town of Loma on the <br />D & RGW right-of-way. <br />This loadout is addressed in the Munger Canyon Appli- <br />cation resubmittal which should receive a nearly simul- <br />taneous review with this application. <br />22. All information on the trailers and other portable facili- <br />ties, which are necessary to the review of this application <br />have been provided. Design calculations for culverts have <br />also been provided. <br />Pages 12 and 13 <br />23. The reclamation plan has been revised to reflect all <br />relevant questions (Chapter 3.0). <br />Pages 14 and 15 <br />24A. The sediment pond shown on Figure 2.2-3 has been oversized <br />and an expanded narrative along with additional calculations <br />provided. <br />24B. All ditches are sized to handle a 10 year, 24 hour storm. <br />Calculations have been provided to this extent. <br />24C. Figure 2.2-3 has been modified to include more detail on <br />overland water flows. <br />-6- <br />
