~••~
=,t
-R
Mr. Carroll Levitt
July 31, 1980
Page Two

to include the previously excluded area, subject to certain
specific monitoring, reclamation and mitigation requirements.
A copy of the July 1, 1980 letter from the Director of the
Colorado Division of Wildlife to the District Manager - Craig
District, United States Bureau of Land Management is attached
for your reference.
Energy Fuels has agreed in principal with the Colorado
Division of Wildlife on the proposed monitoring, mitigation
and reclamation program suggested by the Colorado Division of
Wildlife. However, prior to proceeding further with a sub-
mittal of an application for modification of Federal Coal
Lease C-22644, it seemed appropriate to have a meeting with
all state and federal agencies concerned.
At the August 6, 1980 meeting, it is our hope that all
parties attending will voice their concerns, goals and sug-
gestions regarding the proposed modification application so
that we can design our application in such a way that approval
can be expeditiously obtained. In addition, if time permits
we also hope to briefly discuss the potential problems, if
any, associated with submittal of an Emergency Lease Applica-
tion for Wolf Creek coal located on lands adjacent to Federal
Coal Lease C-22694.
Robert Adams and other Energy Fuels personnel look for-
ward to seeing you at the mine on August 6, 1980. Prior to the
meeting, if you have any questions regarding this issue,
please do not hesitate to contact either Brad Doores or
myself.
Sincgrely,
Gerald W. Grandey
Vice President - Leg Affairs

GWG:BLD:dm
