Paper mulch is not recommended for use by the Division. <br />Therefore, the applicant should state at what rate straw mu lc h. will be applied. <br />Fish and Wildlife - Rules 2.04.11, 2.05.6(2) and 4.18 <br />Infornation pertaining to fish and wildlife is found on pages 65, 66 and 94. <br />There is little wildlife habitat on the proposed disturbed area. Because it <br />was previously mined with little or no revegetation, there are no forage <br />yrasses or shrubs available. The surrounding pinyon-juniper community provide <br />a small amount of forage. This is utilized by mule deer, coyote, magpie, <br />red-tailed hawk, pinon jay, Western oluebirds, least chipmunks, Colorado <br />chipmunks and rattlesnakes. There is no critical habitat that will be <br />disturbed. <br />No rare and endanyered species of wildlife will be impacted uy the proposed <br />mine. <br />This section is in compliance. <br />,Prime Farmlands -Rule '2.07.6(2)(c) <br />Based on communication with the Soil Conservation Service (page 64), there is <br />no prime or important farmlands within the proposed permit area. <br />This section is in compliance. <br />/mt <br />Doc.
