• -. ; <br /> <br />MINING AND RECLAMATIGN PLAN APPROVAL PACKAGE <br />ROADSIDE AND CAMEO MINES, POWDERHORN COAL COMPANY <br />The following is a list of comments from the review of the Mining and <br />Reclamation Plan Approval Package by Powderhorn Coal Company. <br />1. Table of Contents, Item 6. e., the legal spelling is Western Associated <br />Coal Corp. <br />2. Memorandum from the Administrator, under Subject: The Federal lease <br />number listed as C-02740 should be corrected to read C-020740. <br />3. Memorandum from the Administrator, under I. Recommendation, in the <br />fifth line the Federal coal lease number C-02740 should be corrected <br />to read C-020740. <br />4. Memorandum from the Administrator, under II. Background, the second <br />sentence implies that the applicant has not secured a long term contract: <br />Powderhorn Coal .Company has had a long term contract since August 30, <br />1978. <br />5. Memorandum from the Administrator, under II. Background, the fourth <br />sentence reads "with 2,077 acres to 6e disturbed during this permit <br />period." The sentence should read "potentially affected" as Powder- <br />horn Coal Company's operations are underground coal mines. <br />6. Memorandum from the Administrator, under II. Background, sixth <br />paragraph, it is Powderhorn Coal Company's understanding that the <br />stipulation concerning archeology was rewritten. <br />7. Memorandum from the Administrator, under II. Background, seventh <br />paragraph, the paragraph should be deleted as one violation was <br />vacated and the other substantially reduced in an assessment settle- <br />ment. <br />8. Memorandum from the Director, under Subject: The Federal lease <br />listed as C-02740, should read C-020740. <br />9. Maps - Powderhorn Coal Company operates the Roadside and Cameo No. 1 <br />Mines as one permit area on two maps, not two permit areas as the <br />Maps imply. <br />10. Chronology of Events, under Date, March 29, 1982, the date should <br />read March 29, 1981. <br />11. Chronology of Events, under Date, December, 1982, the date should <br />read January 14, 1983. <br />12. Findings, under II. 2., Powderhorn Coal Company is not aware that <br />the Blue Flame Mine is "hydraulically (sic) interconnected with <br />Rapid Creek." The statement implies that a study has been conducted. <br />
