An explicit statement has been included that all areas
of potential surface disturbance have been physically surveyed
and that the three sites in question are not within an area to
be affected.
Exact survey areas are shown on Figure 3 of the latest
report contained in Appendix J. Areas physically surveyed are
shown relative to the permit areas which, when cross-referenced with
other figures in the mine plan, especially Figure 2.2-1, clari-
fies that such areas were physically transected. A legal des-
cription of the survey is provided on page 3 of the latest report.
Measures to be employed to minimize or prevent impacts to
the sites in question will be addressed in detail if and when
the sites are "listed on the National Register of Historic Places"
as required in Section 2.05.6(4)--Colorado Regulations. As noted
above and in Section 4.1.3 of the text, all sites in question
are outside of potentially disturbed land and as such will not
be impacted prior to such designation.
2.04.5
The hydrology sections of the application have been resubmitted
and include more detail as agreed upon in meetings and discussions
among OSM, CMLR and SEI representatives. The additional and
rewritten information, along with an additional cross-section
(Figure 2.5-6), indicated water levels on Figure 2.5-5, and clari-
fication of numbers on Figure 4.2-3 will suffice to provide informa-
tion adequate for the purpose of characterizing the hydrogeology
