The MMS's opinion and comments as to the feasibility of the
applicant's proposed scope and methods of mining as presented in the
application.
The applicant proposes the extension of the existing CRC mine's surface
operation employing dozers, front-end loaders and trucks. This type of
equipment is highly suitable for the scope of operation as proposed. The
nature of the coal bed, its dip, depth, and bed thickness plus the
proposed scale of operation lend themselves to the projected mining
method. This office has determined that the proposed scope and methods
are feasible, and maximum economic recovery of the coal source will be
achieved.

' 3 ~fJ~r~
~~ ~ ~~ ~ ~~
William Wentworth
-- - ~fiinfr Goal y . ~.
