<br />controlling access, a siren will be used as a warning signal to <br />further notify people of the impending blast. Three long signals <br />will be sounded on the siren prior to detonation. After the <br />blast, the= shot will be inspected and if everything is <br />satisfactory, the siren will again be utilized with a single <br />sounding being made to announce the "all clear". At this point, <br />access routes will be opened and traffic on County Road 335 will <br />be released. <br />Blasting will occur during the published time frame as given <br />except when it becomes impossible due to unavoidable hazards. <br />Such hazards include misfires, electric storms, equipment <br />failures, or hazards to persons or property which arise out of an <br />emergency or unforeseeable situation. In the event this occurs, <br />Storm Ring will verbally notify all concerned parties of the <br />change in schedule. If changes are made in the blasting schedule <br />other than unavoidable hazards, written notices will be issued to <br />those effected individuals. <br />Pre-blast surveys for residents in the general proximity of the <br />blasting site can be requested by notifying the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado <br />80203, telephone (303) 866-3567. Upon request, the Division will <br />notify Storm Ring Mines of the residents' desires and an <br />appraisal of the dwelling shall be made prior to blasting. The <br />appraisal will be performed by an independent appraiser, with <br />particular attention being paid to foundation, flooring, dry <br />wall, windows and pipes, where cracking would be evident from <br />current settling versus subsequent blasting. <br />2) For Phase "A" of the operation, there are no structures <br />within one-half mile of the proposed blasting area. A second <br />exhibit has been included for insertion into the permit <br />application in Section 4.2.7, Blasting, which confirms this <br />statement. It was prepared by Woodward-Clyde Consultants, at the <br />request of Storm Ring Mines, Inc. <br />3) A Blasting Record Sheet has been prepared and will be <br />inserted as a third exhibit to Section 4.2.7, Blasting, of the <br />permit application.
