Question A <br />Obtain a NPDES permit from the State of Colorado. <br />Response A <br />Action to be taken by client. <br />Question B <br />Provide to OSM, design calculations for the emergency spillway showing its <br />ability to pass a 25-year, 24-hour storm event. <br />Response B <br />See attached sheets. <br />Question C <br />Provide to OSM, an explanation of how the sediment pond will be dewatered <br />between storms. <br />Response C <br />A drop outlet can be provided to assist in dewatering the reservoir be- <br />tween storms. The drop outlet should be perforated above the sediment level, <br />approximately 2 feet from the reservoir bottom, and should be ran beneath the <br />embankment. A seepage collar is recommended near the upstream face of the dam. <br />In addition, care should be taken to insure that the fill material is properly <br />compacted around the drop outlet works. <br />If a drop outlet works is not desirable, dewatering can be accomplished <br />by pumping. <br />Question D <br />Provide to OSM, the details of a program to monitor water discharge from <br />-1- <br />
