° - ~
~ ~ ~ J ~ ~'
8I6.I00 COIr'TEMPORANEOUS RECLAMATION (v3,pp.81~6-.122)
A. Existing Environment
The mine plan area currently supports grezing land
and associated wildlife habitat X616.111-.117).
B. Description of Applicant's Proposal
Energy Fuels proposes to reclaim all land that is
disturbed by surface mining activities as contem-
poraneously as practicable.
Implementation of the reclamation plan, as described
in Section 780.18, will be timely. Rough backfilliag
and grading will be accomplished by leveling the spoil
ridges with dozers and graders until smooth enough to
reapply topsoil. This will normally be completed within
180 days follok-i.ng coal removal and will not be more
than four spoil ridges behind the active pit. The only
exceptions are the following:
`'~ (1) A section of the highwall left open for a
possible underground mine portal area as
described in Section 785.18.
(2) Sections of the initial 7400 and 6050 box-
cut will remain open for approximately one
year due to their position as described in
Section 816.101 in relation to the associated
dragline cuts.
(3) A Length of highwall along the 7400 pit neaz
~ the western edge of C-081330 lease line will
remain open for approximately one year so
that the pits can be resumed in October 1980
and mining can progress logically into
Eckman Park.
Topsoil will be removed prior to mining and generally
will be immediately redistributed rather than stock-
piled except when sufficient area suitable for redis-
tribution does not exist. Topsoil removed from the
inital boxcuts in Eckman Pazk will be stored as
described in Section 816.23.

-73-

'v ,
