~•
2.04.12 Prime Farmland
This section contains information indicating that no prime farmland
exists in the permit area and no prime farmland will be disturbed.
The Division agrees with this assessment, however, we will need a
letter of concurrence from the local NRCS office verifying that no
prime farmland exists in the permit area so please submit the
following information:
1. A letter from the local NRCS office stating that no prime
farmland exists in permit area or any areas to be affected.
2. A letter from the local Ditch Company verifying that the
farmland included in the permit is no longer irrigated and
when water delivery was discontinued to the abandoned farmland
contained in the permit area.
3. Etc., etc., whatever, whatever......
I will then be able to download off of the M: drive and insert
these sections directly into the PAR. I suspect that several
sections will have rather extensive discussion followed by a number
of requests for additional information or clarification. This way
I don't have to retype and rephrase everyone's concerns and nothing
is lost in the translation. I will still need a hard copy of your
reviews for the file. Also, I will list and address each section
in the initial PAR even if it is to say "No Comment" or "No
Additional Information Required".
Let me know if this approach seems workable. If anyone has a
different idea, I'm open to suggestions. I will be using WP51 and
I would like to have the initial reviews by April 17, 1996 so that
I can finalize the letter and send it by April 22nd. Once your
review is complete, save it to the M: drive and let me know what
the file name is so that I can retreive it.
If these review categories or the schedule presents a problem to
anyone, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can make
other arrangements to complete the review. Also, I would like to
thank everyone in advance for their help.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
attachments
AJW/ajw
