BRL -The FWS issued its final biological opinion dated September 3, 1996 for the Bowie <br />No. 2 Mine. BRL paid a depletion charge of $1,558.27 to mitigate its speculated effect on <br />the endangered fishes in the Colorado River. On November 25, 1996 the FWS issued an <br />amendment to the final biological opinion for an additional 1.8 acre-foot depletion. BRL <br />paid $24.14 to mitigate the speculated effect of this additional depletion on the <br />endangered fishes in the Colorado River. Enclosed are espies of the final biological <br />opinion and the amendment to the final biological opinion to be inwrporated into the <br />permit in Volume III, Exhibit 9, Wildlife. Also enclosed is revised page 2.05-57 which <br />explains the estimated wnsumptive use of water at the Bowie No. 2 Mine. <br />82. No response required. <br />82a.
