From Exhibit 10-1, it appears that sampling points ware <br />located 1n areas which will be disturbed within the permit area, but <br />sampling points were also located within aspen and mixed brush types <br />approximately 1 mile south of the permit area in the southern <br />portion of the study area. Apparently, no sampling was done within <br />aspen types that will be disturbed. Please clarify this. <br />Rule 2 05 5(1)(a)(iv) - Post-Minino Land Use <br />The application does not contain detailed management plans to be <br />implemented following release of liability as required by Rule <br />2.05.5(1)(a)(iv). A discussion of how the reclaimed lands will be <br />managed 1n relation to adjacent grazing lands should be provided. <br />Projected stocking rates, fencing, roads (retained from the mining <br />operation), water developments and otrier range improvements which <br />will be implemented should be discussed. <br />Landowner comments regarding post-mining land use have not been <br />submitted. <br />To complete the application, the landowner comments must be <br />submitted. <br />Rule 2.05.6(3) - Protection of the Hvdrolooic Balance <br />The applicant has not provided a discussion of probable hydrologic <br />consequences for the haul road corridor. <br />The applicant should provide a brief paragraph discussing the <br />hydrologic effects of the activities in the haul road corcidoc. <br />Rule 2.06.8 - Alluvial Valley Floors <br />The alluvial valley floor information provided by the applicant was <br />limited to adjacent areas of Hubbereon Qulch and Dry Creek. <br />Adjacent areas of Sage Creek and areas in or adjacent to the haul <br />road corridor were not included. <br />The applicant should provide a reconnaissance level alluvial valley <br />floor investigation for Sage Creek and for areas in or adjacent to <br />the haul road corridor. <br />
