<br />782.2U <br />1~..~ <br />Identify, by name and address, the public office which <br />will receive a copy of the final application for public <br />inspection in accordance with 786.11 (d). <br />782.21 <br />Provide evidence of newspaper advertisement of the ap- <br />plication and evidence of compliance with 786.11 (a). <br />783.12 <br />(b) Tne cultural resource survey included in the application <br />addresses survey converage of a 400 by 4UU foot portal <br />Imo- area and a one-half mile right-of-way. This conflicts <br />' with the definition of "applicable areas" which refers <br />to the entire mine plan area. A complete inventory <br />document must include, among other items, an archival <br />and literature review of archaeological and historical <br />resources in the project area; a research design and <br />methodology; a complete survey of the mine plan area; <br />appropriate documentation (site forms, maps, photographs, <br />etc.); an evaluation which discusses resources in light <br />of National Register eligibility; and a mitigation plan <br />acceptable to the regulatory authority. <br />783.14 <br />See sections 783.14, 783.15, and 783.16 below. <br />783.14 <br />(a) Include general geologic information found in EA No. 012 <br />in the final permit application. <br />(1) The following should be provided concerning the strata <br />down to immediately below the E seam for those areas af- <br />fected by surface operations or facilities. <br />(ii) Include, if available, the lithologic logs of the <br />drill holes located on Map 2 of the permit. Pro- <br />vide a statement as to why the drill holes shown <br />are considered adequate in number to describe the <br />geology of the mine plan area. <br />(iii) Provide any available information on the physical <br />properties of each stratum in the overburden, in- <br />eluding compaction and erodibility. <br />(iv} Provide a chemical analysis of the strata immedi- <br />ately above and below the mined seam including as <br />a minimum: pazticle size analysis, pH, EC, SAR, <br />Na, Ca, Mg, S (organic and inorganic), and acid- <br />neutralizing potential. <br />3 <br />~- -_ -.--: - u~,~ <br />
