The Division questioned Lorencito Coal Company as to ho\v this seed min: \cill <br />provide a suitable send source for compliance with Rules d. l ~. l (1). -4.1 ~.~ i 2). Since portions <br />of the reclaimed grassland will have rangeland/\eildlife as the post-mining land-use. <br />compliance with Rule -l.l S(~)(i). must bz demonstrated. The Division bzlieves drat a higher <br />proportion of \\arnl season grasses should be included in the grassland szed mix. <br />~~'~ Lorencito Coal Compam stated that the landowners have requested that tz\\er \caml season <br />gasses be re-zstablished in the reclaimed areas than were present m the pre-mining <br />community. The Division revie\vzd Exhibit 17. (letter from the lando\cnersl. re~ardins <br />disposition of roads. post-mining topography, land-use changz. and reduction in shrubs to <br />be re-established on the reclaimed erassland areas. This letter does not ;~ddrzss a reduction <br />in the \vatTrl season grass component in the reclaimed areas. <br />Please revise the erassland send mix to rztlect the higher pre-minine occurrencz of \\arnl <br />season erasszs. <br />• <br />Response <br />Three species oY \vann season grasses have bezn added to the «rassland szed min.
