Dla}:e of the Colorado <br />Division of Mines for a permit to operate an open-cut strip <br />mine on lands located in Sections 1 and 2 of Township 5 <br />North, Range 8G West, 6th P.P7., in Routt County, Colorado. <br />The application for this mine was approved, and, on August <br />28, 1974, OE,en rtining Permit t:o. 24 was issued to Energ}• <br />Fuels for the mine designated as Lnergy f]o. 3. The expiration <br />date of this permit was June 30, 1979. dining at this m~^e <br />started sometime in August of 1974 at a point slightly west. <br />of the 1/4 corner of Sections 1 and 2. <br />Information contained in the original permit application <br />contained several references in regards to reclamation. <br />Items relevant to this request were: <br />Subsection 2 (i) Stating that surface reclamation <br />would be conclude3 no laror than <br />July or August, 1975. <br />Subsection 2 (j) The timetable for reclaiminc the <br />surface would be from Januar_- 1, <br />' 1975 through August 1, 1975. <br />Subsection 3 (h) A map showing the original <br />contour of the permit area <br />before mining. <br />Subsection 3 (i) A map showing the general tyre, <br />thickness and distribution o_ <br />-- soil. <br />Subsection 3 (j) A description of the predisturbance <br />vegetation, i.e., being a tre=less <br />area with a moderate coverir.r, of <br />sagebrush and natural range <br />grasses. <br />Subsection 3 (1) A plate showing the expected <br />physical appearance of the land <br />to be mined.. <br />Upon approval of Open Mining Permit No. 24, ttie State <br />of Colorado, through the Director of Natural Resources'ard <br />the Land Reclamation Board, entered into a formal agreer..ent <br />with Energy Fuels Corporation on land stabilization and <br />reclamation, <br />
