<br />Page 6 <br />H-G Preliminary Adequacy Review <br />3. Please supply the design calculations for the highwall <br />~' diversion ditch to be constructed in 1983 as indicated in <br />Exhibit K. Also provide this information for the ditch <br />surrounding the waste pile and loadout facilities. <br />4. Provide information of sufficient detail for the Division <br />U to determine that all sediment structures are in conformance <br />with performance standards in 4.05.6. This includes the <br />structures at the explosive storage and sanitary landfill <br />facilities. <br />/5. The details of sediment pond HG-8 indicate that the <br />emergency spillway is constructed on top of the haul road. <br />This spillway must be constructed to conform with 4.05.6(3)(d). <br />Please demonstrate to the Division that it is possible <br />to meet these regulations while keeping the haul road intact. <br />2 6. Supporting calculations must be provided which determine <br /> the sizing of the culverts based on flow requirements of specific <br /> drainage areas. These calculations should include the <br /> drainage areas, flow data, and any other relevant data. <br /> 7. Please specify whether any impounded water is to be <br />l J used during the mining operation. <br />/L.05.3(4 A typographical error exists in this section of the report. <br />~ Exhibit B-B is referred to as a map of the drainages where it <br /> is actually Exhibit A-A. The applicant should supply <br /> detailed maps, drawings and a narrative explaining the <br /> sediment control implemented at the topsoil stockpile area <br /> west of County Road 53. Supply appropriate calculations and <br /> a map of the system diverting natural flow from drainages <br /> upslope of the aforementioned topsoil stockpile area. Sedi- <br /> ment control features for this stockpile area must be demon- <br /> strated to be in conformance with standards in 4.05.5. <br />~.05.3(4)(a)(ii)(A) None of the plans for the structures have been certified by <br />~/ a registered professional engineer. <br />2.05.3 6 Overburden: <br />/ 1. No narrative explaining removal, handling or storage <br />J of all overburden materials is presented within the application. <br /> 2. No statement of volumes or swell factors anticipated for <br /> the excess spoil and overburden are included within the <br /> application. <br /> Please provide this information. <br />2.05.3(6)(a) Surface Blasting Plan: <br /> No general narrative explaining how the applicant intends to <br /> comply with the performance standards of Rule 4.08 is included <br /> within the application. <br />
