<br />Page 5 <br />H-G Preliminary Adequacy Review <br />04.11 Fish and Wildlife Resource Information <br />2.11.4.11(1) The sampling and studying of wildlife that was conducted on the ground did <br />not cover the entire permit area as required. Please discuss why only a <br />portion of the permit area was included. Also discuss whether or not the <br />data derived from the wildlife study is representative of the entire permit <br />area and adjacent areas and why it is or is not representative. <br />2.05.3 Operation Plan - Permit Area <br />2.3(2) The text makes reference to Table 2 which is nowhere in the vicinity of <br />J the discussion. Tables have been supplied with each section elsewhere in <br />the report. This table should be submitted. <br />i <br />21,05.3(3) The application inaccurately refers to Exhibit L as showing locations of <br />HG-8 and the overburden dump. Please supply the correct reference. <br />05.3(3)(b) 1. Please be advised that any existing or proposed road must be constructed <br />& (c} in accordance with design criteria or performance standards given in 4.03.1(3). <br />If any existing roads do not satisfy these regulations, plans must be proposed <br />~ for bringing them into compliance. All design and construction plans must <br />be certified by a professional, registered engineer to be accepted by this <br />Division as required by 4.03.1(1)(d). Exhibits, I, J, K and L do not include <br />such certification. <br />2. The applicant must submit evidence showing any culverts to be in <br />conformance with design criteria given in 4.03.1(4)(e) and 4.03.2(4)(e). <br />/'Information required includes details of installation, location, contributing <br />~/ drainage areas, slopes, size and characteristics of ditches; flow characteristics <br />and any other supporting data and calculations necessary for sizing of <br />culverts. Provide this information for any existing or proposed culvert. <br />:.05.3(4) Sediment Design <br />1. Please provide all assumptions and rationale for choosing curve <br />~ numbers and vegetation cover (for runoff and sediment delivery calculations) <br />for the sediment design section presented in Appendix E. <br />Reference to drawings used for all calculations of drainage areas should <br />be given. What is the justification for percent vegetation cover in'the <br />determination of curve numbers? <br />J 2. What is the source of liner material for the sedimentation pond? <br />
