<br />The surface plant oonsdsts of a frame shaft
<br />house, 18-1/2 x 55-1/2 ft „ containing skip type head
<br />frame 35 ft, high, with automatic dump, and 42 in, iron
<br />sheave wheel, A wing 12-1/2 ft. square, is built on
<br />the S, E, corner of the shaft house, .and used for a
<br />blacksmith shop. (one forge)
<br />The engine room, 21 x 31 ft, frame, ad~oina the
<br />abaft house to the N, E. same containing one, double
<br />9 x 10, Vulcan friction clutoh hoisting engine, 50 H. P.
<br />provided with a Hendrie & Bolthoff target indicator, in
<br />plain view of the hoisting engineer, vrho operates same
<br />at engine, One, 4 drill Leyner air compressor.
<br />The boiler room, 18 x 41 ft., adjoins the engine
<br />room to the N. E, and contains one, 80 H. °, boiler, a
<br />about 6 years old,' and one 80. H. P. boiler, about three
<br />years old, horizontal return tubular Hendrie & Bolthoff,
<br />Mine water ie used, preseuro of 80T/ is'carried,
<br />Boiler ie in good condition- ie fired with
<br />soft coal,
<br />A frame stable 12 x 40 ft, 1a located 25 ft,
<br />S. V!, of the shaft house, Ore bins are located 25 ft,
<br />S, tN, of shaft house,
<br />Surface lighting is furnished by lamp,
<br />Proteotion galnat fire is provided by Swan
<br />fire extinguishers, and hose oannection, to large water
<br />tank, located in shaft houee,
<br />Surface transportation ie effected by wagon h
<br />haul over stoop wagon road to Idaho Springs,
<br />P4ethod of ore treatment employed, milling and
<br />smelting,
<br />EXPLOSIVES,
<br />Explosives employed are the 7/8 and 1/8 in, 400
<br />Heraulee powder, XXXXX Daps, and Viotor and Aoma Ineoloid
<br />fuse, The above are stored in frame magazino, oovared
<br />with iron, 3 x 4 ft „ looatod 160 ft, g,W, of shaft houee,
