The largest pit is 80' long, 60' wide, and 10' deep <br />and is probabl <br />y <br /> , <br />the location of the main shaft of the Blue Bird No. 1 Mine. Other pits are collapse <br />feat <br /> ures over stapes. They range in size from 40' in diameter and 8' deep to 14' in <br />diameter <br />d 6' <br /> an <br />deep. <br />Blue Bird <br />No. 2 S: Subsidence trough. Collapse over ad it of Blue Bird No. 2 has produced a trough 40' long <br />8' <br />' <br /> , <br />wide, and 5 <br />deep. <br />Economy D: In May of 1980 water was draining from the northernmost pit. Water flowed south across <br />th <br />i <br /> e s <br />te and around the waste dump. Rate of flow was one gallon per minute. <br /> S: Three subsidence pits mark collapsed inclined shafts. Pits are 20'-40' in diameter and <br />3' <br />' <br /> -10 <br />deep. <br /> Reclamation scheduled for Spring 1984. The two openings at the Economy Mine will be back- <br />filled <br />i <br /> us <br />ng a graded fill technique. All disturbed areas will be revegetated. <br />Golden Star S: Row of subsidence pits. Four pits form a 400' long row. Two pits 30' in diameter and 6' <br />' <br /> and 15 <br />deep respectively, mark the probable locations of the air shaft and hoist shaft of <br />th <br />G <br />l <br /> e <br />o <br />den Star Mine. The other two pits are 10'-12' in diameter and 3'-4' deep and are <br />d <br /> ue to collapse of stapes. <br /> Z: Reference 2 notes that 2 seams were worked. <br />Hampton's <br />Prospect S: Subsidence pit.
