<br />TABLE TWO -- FREMONT COUNTY <br />COMMENTS ON FEATURES <br />Smith-Tanner Reclamation complete fall 1983. Two openings were completely collapsed using heavy equip- <br />(cont.) ment. Backfilled areas and coal waste removal areas will be topsoiled and revegetated. <br />South Canon S: Three troughs. Two troughs of minor significance; one is 20' long, 12' wide, 3' deep; the <br />second is 20' long, 6' wide, 3' deep; both mark former adits. The third trough is 90' long <br />20' wide, 4' deep; marks collapse of former ad it. <br />Spring Canon *: One vertical opening. Opening is air shaft inside unlocked fan house. Shaft is 6' square <br />No. ? and 30' deep, intact, concrete lined, has no access deterrent. Shaft has iron ladder to <br />(Cuckoo) bottom. <br />S: Cuckoo -- Large subsidence pit over and around hoist shaft. Pit is 80' long, 55' wide and <br />15' deep; walls of pit nearly vertical. <br />Venengia S: Subsidence pit 25' in diameter, 5' deep. Lies over air shaft. <br />(Verlengia) <br />(Verlencia) <br />Williamsburg S <br />(Wmsburg Slope) <br />(Wmsburg Nos. 1,2) <br />(Yellow-Onion) <br />Willie No. 1 *: <br />Three subsidence pits, one trough. Subsidence pits are 10' to 15' in diameter and 3' deep; <br />pits due to subsidence over rooms. Trough is 75' long, 20' wide, 7' deep; due to subsidenc <br />over incline entry. <br />One horizontal opening.
