<br />TABLE TWO -- FREMONT COUNTY <br />MINE NAME COMMENTS ON FEATURES <br />Liberty Project hazard abatement work in Spring 1983 consisted of backfilling the incline using <br />(cont.) appropriate riprap, coal waste, and topsoil material. All areas appropriate for revegeta- <br />tion were covered with a layer of soil material suitable for plant growth and will be <br />revegetated and fenced during the Fall of 1983. <br />Little Johnny Z: Reference 2 notes this mine same location as Canon Quality. Different seam. <br />Manley Z: Production from Vento Bed, 150' below production from Manley Bed. <br />(Diamond) <br />Mohawk *: Three vertical openings. Opening over air shaft is 5' square and 80' deep; barbed wire <br />fence around opening in fair condition. Openings over two hoist shafts are 15'x12'x30' <br />deep and 20'x15'x25' deep; both shafts bridged by trash, earth and rock; barbed wire fence <br />around openings in fair condition. Access deterrence fair. <br />Project hazard abatement work during Spring 1983 consisted of backfilling the inclines <br />using appropriate riprap, coal wastes and topsoil material. The hazard and shaft openings <br />were also backfilled using similar graded fill techniques. All areas appropriate for plant <br />growth and will be revegetated and fenced during the fall of 1983. <br />Moschetti *: (Unknown mine just east of Moschetti mine.) Two inclined openings. Entry to haulage incline <br />is 6' high, 4' wide; opening goes into slope an unknown distance; deterrent consists of two <br />6x6 timbers set on end at mouth of opening. Entry to air course incline is 3' high, 4' <br />wide; opening goes into slope an unknown distance; roof partially collapsed; no access <br />deterrent. <br />New Fremont *: One horizontal opening.
