<br />REPORT OF THE MANAGER
<br />Herewith I submit the following statement of the operations on
<br />your property for the year ryo3.
<br />The surface improvemevts of necessity and tending to greater'
<br />economy of production are:,
<br />rst, At the Moyer, a new dwelling ]rouse and additions to the
<br />old ore house and machine shop, costing $q,6eo.oa.
<br />znd. At the North Moyer shaff, a new ore house of the follow•
<br />fog dimensions, 82 feet long, z6 Eeet wide and S6 feet high, with a
<br />storage capacity of Soo tons, and connected with the shaft house by a
<br />trestle; also a vew boiler house, stable, two water tanks hoisting
<br />engive, with capacity of raising 60o tons per day moo feet, ~ water.
<br />heater and [80o feeYOf piping. Lt addition [n the above Ntere was
<br />removed from the Stevens Shaft and installed at theNorth Moyer,
<br />3 too-H. P. boilers, r air campresser and z air receivers, the cost of
<br />these improvements was $32',$00 00.
<br />3rd. The, Ditch and water line have now been entirely rebuilt
<br />and repaired with new boxes aad wrought irov pipe, for n distanee of
<br />[3,gzo feet, or z.g2 miles, at a gross cost of $6,yzq,oo; ro,g6o feet bE
<br />the water line was new boxivg laid in the main. ditch, avd the bal-
<br />ance z,66o feet of iron pipe from and of the ditch to different parts of
<br />the property. The ditch and water lice will not require further ex-
<br />penditure for repairs or renewals for many years.
<br />The total expenditures for all surface improvements, new build-
<br />ivgs, machinery, ditch repairs, etc., nmo»nted to $45~979~no•
