Numerous subsidence pits with diameters ranging from 10' to 30'
and depths ranging from 4' to 8'. Pits are due to collapse over rooms of Shanahan mine.
Strathmore S: Back and front yards of these houses show subsidence depressions; house at 703 S. Longmont
Ave. may be slightly off its foundation. (Subsidence here is documented by May 27, 1956
issue of The Denver Post.) Possible subsidence in Lafayette at Geneseo and Michigan; side-
walks, houses appear to havve settled relative to street. Subsidence also has been
reported at W. Emma and S.
