<br />TABLE TWO -- BOULDER COUNTY <br />MINE NAME COMMENTS ON FEATURES <br />Paramount- S: Subsidence swales? Four swales each about 20' wide, 40' long, 2' deep. Probably the <br />Dominico result of general subsidence over a deeper area of mining and pillar robbing. <br />Premier *: Horizontal opening. Portal of ad it is about 10' wide at its widest part and 3' high at <br />its highest. About 10' underground the ad it narrows to 4' wide by 3' high. No access <br />deterrent other than fence along heavily travelled road (Co. 93), 100' west of opening. <br />S: Subsidence pits and trough. Eight subsidence pits with diameters ranging from 10' to 40' <br /> and depths ranging from 3' to 12'. Subsidence trough represents collapse of inclined air <br /> course and is 25' long, 10' wide and 3' to 8' deep. <br /> Premier mine reclamation scheduled for Spring 1984 -- Backfilling by City of Boulder. <br />Red Ash Reclamation scheduled Spring 1984, Red Ash and Pittsburg mine area: Backfilling the open <br /> ad its and subsidence feature with riprap and nearby Coal waste material. <br />Rosser S: Subsidence pits and trough. Three subsidence pits with diameters ranging from 12' to 30' <br /> and depths ranging from 3' to 7'. Subsidence trough represents collapse of ad it of Rosser <br /> Mine and is 40' long, 12' wide and 3' deep. <br />*: Inclined opening. Portal of incline is 4' wide and 3' high and is supported by iron rails <br /> and dry masonry. Ad it is intact for first 8'-10' underground, beyond that ad it totally <br /> collapsed. No access deterrent other than fence along heavily travelled road (Co. 93). <br /> Reclamation scheduled for Spring 1984: Removing existing supports near ad it entry and <br /> backfilling the resultant depression with nearby coal waste material. <br />Rowley S: Subsidence Swale. Large closed depression approximately 1400' long, 400' wide and lying <br /> 4' to 8' below surrounding terrain.
