icating liquors. The shaft house is frame 50 X 75 ft, T}+e head
frame consists of four 12 X 12 posts and is 40 ft high.
Sheave wheel ie 3 ft in diameter anti of cast steel.
Collar of shaft wham bucket is used is of sufficient bight to
prevent persons from tripping and falling in shaft. The collar
of abaft vrhere bucket is used is provici~d with good and sufficient
door to prevent material from falling in shaft from dumpit+g.
Smith shop in power house. The engine room,vrorking ahaft,black-
smith shop and furnace room are all under one roof.
Suitable protection against fire is provided,
Timber yard is on dump. The ore is dumped in cars on tract..
The water supply is from the Iron '{ine ditch.
The surface transportation is by railroad and wagon road,
'fhe ore treatment smelting. dine has no mill or reduction works.

Iron or metal tamping bars are not. employed,wooden tamping bars

Explosives in excess of o)i? drys supply are riot stored under
ground. The explosives are stored in a magazine provided for
that purpose alo)re. T}ie magazine is pept in poxer house, Aver-
age amour+t of explosives kept in storage 100 lbs.
The arapazine is frame ¢ X 6. ?dine }gas rro device for thawing pow-
der. -Gils,randles or other combustibles are stored in pcaer
