<br />Hoisting engine, double cylinder, 22 x 36", Y geared,
<br />double spool, 14 ' diameter, carrying 6" flat rope. Brake
<br />operated by compressed air, and having a capacity of 4500 ft.
<br />with a maximum of 10,000 ft. per minute Provided with positive
<br />indicator.
<br />Hoisting engine 10 x 12, used for each compartment of shaft
<br />for repairing steam, air and water pipes.
<br />Shaft house has wing to the east, brick 58 x 125 ft. for
<br />boiler room, containing four, 300 H. P „ new Heine water tube
<br />boilers, fitted with stacks, 46" in diameter and 86 ft, high;
<br />coal bins, steel construction, 112 ft. long, 20 ft, high,
<br />capacity 600 tone; two duplex plunger feed pump a, with hose
<br />attachment'for fire protection. With second wing to the. east,.
<br />30 x 46 ft, frame, for working mine timbers.
<br />With third wing to the east, 24 x fit ft, frame, for blacksmith
<br />shop, containing five forges, 'steam hammer, two air hammers and
<br />drill sharpening machines.
<br />With wing to the west 18 x 45 ft. frame, for machine shop, con-
<br />taining lathe, drill, shaper, bolt nutters, two pipe cutters,
<br />eta.
<br />And wing to the north, b7 x 75 ft., frame for compressor and dy-
<br />namo room, containing 1 duplex high pressure air compressor, cap-
<br />acity, 16 drills, 1 Ingersoll Seargent compound air compressor,
<br />oapaaity 30 drills, 1 dynamo, capacity 250 lights, and 1 dynamo,
<br />oapaaity 800 light a.
<br />Shop building, 17 x 49 ft. frame, west of shaft-house, fit-
<br />ted up with forge, pipe machine, sot. 'Pimber mill, 24 x BO ft,
<br />frame, N. W. of shaft house, containing timber framing machinery,
<br />band saws, timber runaways, etc. Ore house, 4b x 136 ft, frame,
<br />duet south of eha~t house whore ore is sorted and washed, con-
<br />taining bans, sorting tables, arid. ws,ohing maahiners.
