MINING AND.MINE METHODS:
This property is developed by a system of adit, or
tunnel levels, se the topography of the surface, and the
position of the ore deposits, admit. of an economio extrac-
tion.
The Burleigh tunnel, altitude 9200 ft „ the mouth
of which, 'is just north of the road and creek, and located
on No, 330 IDTillsite, runs north, 20o west, 2400 feet to breast.
The tunnel cuts the Tdendota vein, at a distance of 975 ft,
from mouth, said TSendota vein being ovmed and operated by
'- the E4endota-Frostburg Company, J, i7, Old, Il4anager, Also
the Philipps vein, at a distance of 2100 feet from the mouth,
which has been drifted on to the S. P!„ s distance of
1150 ft „ from c~hich point, a cross-cut is being driven to
the N. Pl, (about 760 ft,) to connect with the Seven Thirty
vein, whence a raise 300 ft, will be driven to connect with
the bottom of the Seven Thirty shaft, thus making the total

cross-cut is being driven to connect with Guenzi shaft,

Pelican, or 2-1~2 Tunnel, Altitude 9615 ft „ mouth of
vrhich, is in Cherokee Gulch, on sunvey No, 10954, Dawson
Lode. Course, IJ, 6o F!, b75 ft, cutting Bismarck vein, thence
drifting on same to 5. E., and N. l7, 5000 ft, Pelican tunnel
is connected with the Diamond tunnel by perdue shaft, and
