-7- <br />MINING AND MINE METHODS. <br />_. <br />:It is estimated that this property has eighteen miles of <br />underground workings. The Seven-Thirty shaft is 975 ft. <br />deep, Biamark shaft, 400 ft. deep, Guerigi shaYt,150 ft.deep. . <br />Work is carried on at the presen time in the Burleigh, <br />Seven-Thirty. Zero,and Pelican tunnels. Sloping and drifiting. <br />A raise is 3uat started Prom the Burleigh tunnel level to *~a <br />connect the bottom of the Seven-Thirty shaft. <br />]Saohine drills and single hand work., are in practice. <br />Timbering consists of etulls, poets and lagging and Daps. <br />Character of the timber used is pine and red spruce. <br />The underground tramming done by horse power, Hauling Truax <br />oars containing 22 cubic Yeet, on a trackage 20 lb T-rails <br />19 in. guage. Fraotioally no water is encountered above the <br />tunnel level. <br />Ventiaation is secured by surface openings, and an eleotrie <br />fan. <br />
