4 ORE BODIES AND ORES. I
The~orea occur in ore shoots in the several veins,
and are principally lead and zino (Galena and Sphalerlte)
carrying values in Gold, Silver and Copper,
The several veins may be best described by enumer-
sting their appearanoa in each oase, as exposed by develop-
ment. '
HILL_ VEIN.
`The Hill vein hoe a atrike,oP about S. 75O east,
average dip about 66° to R, "I„ and average width of 3 Pt,
Vein Pilling oonsists of a brecciated material, carrying lead
and zinc sulphides, vrith some iron and copper pyrites,
Pookets oP the lead and zino oocur in the veln,.aPParding e
smelting produot,
The development an said vein, trill be described.
under mine methods,
GOLD VEIN.
The Gold Vein has a strike oP about N. 6bo E,
average dip about 7b° to the N, W „ and average width oP 3 Pt,
Vein Pilling aonsiete oP a lead sulphide, ooouring in streaks
up to 10 inches in width, and disseminated in a granitio
matrix,
CLIVE VEIN.
Tha Clive vein .has a strike E, and i"1, dips slight-
ly to the N., and has an average width oP ~ Pt, The vein
oonslsts oP a quartzose and Peldspathio material, impreganted
with the lead and zino sulphides, aooompanied by stxeaks oP
Bame,
Said C11ve Lode is developed by a shaft, 4 x B Pt „
"110 Pt. deep, boated N „ 46° E „ about 2000 Pt, Prom Hill
shalt, and a small shaft 30 Pt, deep, boated 'JO Pt, F., oP
main Clive shaft, Sc"mo staging and dxiPting has been Jana
on this vein, the extent of whioh, was lindetoxmined, due to
the preeenoe oP gas in the workings,
A vein is exposed by a pit., about 76 .fit, H, E „ oP
$, 07:ive eha3t, said vein having a strike E, and V!„ dipping
to the N, at an angle oP BOO and having width of 3-1~2 Pt,.
