(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTIAIG ID # M-97-090
INSPECTION DATE 01/12/00 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK
OBSERVATIONS
The following observations were recorded during a routine inspection of this 4.8 acre 110 site.
I. All boundaries were mazked in accordance with the rules; however, no sign was posted at the entrance to the site. This must
be remedied within 30 days. (PBl)
2. The setback from the drainage ditch was clearly mazked and had not been disturbed.
3. Almost all of the site was currently disturbed, although approximately 1 acre along the northwest boundary had been sloped
back to grade, topsoiled, and seeded; and the test of the site was also comprised of either flattened areas or slopes shallower
than 2H:1 V. All of the un-topsoiled surfaces needed compaction and finish grading, however.
4. The feeder ditches to be constructed (as per the permit) have not been put in place yet. The Operator is reminded that a
Technical Revision to the permit, showing the final locations of these ditches, should be submitted prior to asking for release
from reclamation responsibility at this site.
5. No topsoil has been stored on this site. The topsoil that is to be used on the ZAgg Pit has been placed on the Chambers permit
area. These stockpiles measures 125 paces across the crest (187'), 44 paces up the slope (66'), and 20' wide; one stockpile is
22' high, while the second is 10' high, and only 187' long. The total volume stored on the Chambers pit for use at the Zogg
Pit is 6020 CY, which is more than enough to reclaim the site. However, the fact that it is stored off the permit area; puts this
in violation of Rule 3.1.9, and must be remedied; or the bond will be recalculated to account for purchase of topsoil from offsite
sources. (PB2)
No other problems were noted at this time. The bond will be calculated within four weeks, based on the current reclamation plan
and site conditions.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Steve Corn
OPERATOR W.
