o soil
p. _--
Topsoiling is nearing completion at the site. Topsoil is stockpiled for re-spread at the toe of
slopes above pond 6 Additional topsoil is available in the approved topsoil borrow area to
complete the remainder of the topsoiling at the site. This activity will be completed as
weather and ground conditions allow.
Fish and Wildlife
Mule deer were noted in the undisturbed area east of Fill 8. Tracks on the reclaimed area
indicate significant usage by both deer and elk
Revegetation
Additional seeding of the disturbed areas has been completed since the last State
inspection. Broadcast seeding is normally done on the lower slopes. Hydro-seeding is used
on steeper areas, An excellent example of these two seeding methods can be seen in the
photo below. Dozer tracking of straw mulch indicates broadcast areas while smooth, tan
areas are evidence of hydro-seeding.
The Annual Reclamation Report for 2006 will document work completed for the year.
Overall, the site appeared in good condition for the early winter season.
