Ms. Kathleen Welt
April 15, 1993
Page 2
undisturbed hillsides to the south. The road connects to the original haul road
northeast of the new maintenance shop building.
This certification was based upon inspections performed in August, 1992, and
on April 12, 1993. This work involved a review of the originally submitted plans and
specifications, the as-bunts, and all correspondence concerning the road performed
by other consultants.
Observations noted during these two inspections included that the road was
constructed per the original plans and specifications with only slight alterations. The
road has met all required design criteria involving allowed maximum grades,
drainage and traflic requirements. The only minor work needed to the original
construction will be to replace a small section of asphalt where the road base has
settled.
This road complies with the prudent state-of--the-art requirements as requested
for professional certification. This road complies with the approved mine planning
permit #C-80-007, specifically, Exhibit No. 51 as revised per mine revision #75
approved August 30, 1991.
If you have any further questions concerning this letter of certification, please
give me a call.
Sri In~,c~erel~, ~,.`/ ~ ', ,
Charles C.
